IS 3812 Grade I classified ash, 45 micron residue at or below 12 percent.
Grade I is what Indian standards call properly classified ash, and it is the grade most structural specifications name by default. Relative to Grade II it gives higher lime reactivity, lower water demand and considerably tighter batch-to-batch consistency.
